Varsity Wins the Silver Bracket of the Troy Tournament!

Varsity won the silver bracket of the Troy Leadoff Classic. After going 1-1 on Friday, we defeated the defending Class 2 state champion Highland Cougars 6-3 with a strong performance in the circle by Kendal Morelock. Kiana Kluesner was 3-3 with 3 rbi.

In the championship, we picked up a 16-6 win over Macon. Kendyl Snyder picked up her first career varsity win to pull off the come from behind victory. Savanna Cohen was 3-5 with 4 RBI and her 2nd home run of the season! Varsity is now 4-1 on the season.

We have a big week ahead as we start conference play against Troy on Tuesday, host the class 5 defending state champion Lafayette Lancers on Wednesday, and host the St. Louis Sportswear Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

St. Louis Sportswear Invitational

Thank you to St. Louis Sportswear and Scott Harris for sponsoring our upcoming tournament on September 5th and 6th at Howell Central. This is a great event with great teams from all around the state. This year we have Highland, Windsor, Lutheran St. Charles, Warrenton, St. Dominic, and Parkway Central. This will be a great weekend of softball!

Band App

Varsity Travels to KC

Varsity is now in the Liberty North Tournament on September 26th and 27th. We will leave on Thursday, September 25th. We will be staying at the Hampton Inn in Liberty, MO. The address is 8551 Church Rd. Kansas City, MO 64157.

BBQ

Our 4th annual BBQ will be on Saturday, September 13th. We will host both Zumwalt East and Hazelwood West in a 3-team round robin. Varsity will be on Field 1 and JV will be on Field 2. This will be a great atmosphere with 6 teams on campus at the same time. We are always looking for donations (meat, sides, drinks, raffle items) and people to help (grill, concession stand, collecting tickets). If you are interested or have any suggestions, please let me, Michelle Meyer, or Chris Dunlap know.
